My lovely friend, Michaela, who is just BRIMMING with love and creativity and awesomeness made me this bustle for my booty! I must say now that I am in LOVE with my booty, and even MORE SO with my new bustle!!! It actually has a detachable extension that I can wear with my stilts, and soon will be complete with a choker as well. I am sooooooo excited to share it with my friends and show it off at Lightning In a Bottle, and wherever else my booty takes me!!!

Shiva invites you to Triple your Fun, Triple your Fire, and Triple your Participation!

In anticipation of our most hippiest, jammiest, foodiest Shiva Vista Project fundraiser thus far, you won't want to miss this exciting and very USEFUL event on April 19th! Not only will we be filling your bellies with yummy BBQ'd foods and snacks, but we will be nourishing your souls and spirits with fun and enlightening workshops for poi and staff spinning, and hula hooping!
AND, inside there will be live bands (including Nick Ramirez and Astronot, Sleepy Sunshine, Buster Blue, and Session) as well as outside live drummers to help create a comfortable and groovy atmosphere for you to enjoy in tribal unity. ALL are welcome into Shiva's warm embrace.

Other reasons we celebrate include:

~Jub Jub Camp with its usual Monkey Business
~ the Canon twins' 30th birthday (yeah! Dirty thirty!)
~ of course, the coming of the unofficial, international 4/20 holiday!
~ and, what we have been so anxious to share...FIRE!!!

Come in your Shiva finest (meaning whatever you are inspired to present for Shiva's honor), you rejuvenated, renewed, ready-to-groove souls! Also, we HIGHly encourage you to reuse your “playa cups” you got at Yuri's night! It IS Earth day, you know!

Workshops for poi, staff, and hula-hoop are available for an extra donation of $10, taught by local dance/fire performers and members of Controlled Burn! AND, as the sun sets, Controlled Burn fire performers will toast up the evening with tribal fire spinning and live local drummers. Bellydancers and tribal musicians are welcome!

Reno, Nev. The Reno Playa Community is proud to present Yuri's Night: Reno's Second un-official compression party on Saturday, April 12, 2007 beginning at 9pm. The party will be taking place at Bliss Nightclub located at 535 East Fourth Street, Reno, and at the Studio on 4th located at 432 East Fourth Street, Reno. This amazing evening will serve to raise funds for local Burning Man art installations "Jackbot" and "Zsu Zsu: The Crybaby Drama Queen." You don’t have to be a Burning Man attendee (referred to as “Burners”) to attend. Everyone age 21 and up is invited to attend Yuri's Night. Admission is $10 in advance. Advance tickets are available at the Melting Pot- 888 S. Virginia St. in Reno, and at Prism Magic- 2161 Pyramid Hwy. in Sparks. Tickets are $12 at the door, available at Bliss Nightclub beginning 9:00 p.m. April 12.

Space-age costumes are highly encouraged. The theme for Yuri’s Night 2008 is “Mutiny in Space”, and futuristic space pirate attire will be in style for many of the participants. This year’s event will include theme camp areas, dancing, a "Deep Space Chill Area", fire performances by Controlled Burn, "not-quite-ready-for-the-playa" art installations, visuals by Robotronia, and the "Fembots" of Reno Burlesque. Musical DJ entertainment will be provided by d6, Munz, GT, Kevan, Izard, Mister Jellyfish, and plenty of secret astro-guests!

"We are so excited to be able to continue the Yuri’s Night International Space Party legacy with a second annual Reno Compression and Fundraiser," states Damian Janssen, an event organizer and creator of the “Zsu Zsu Project”- an art installation being constructed for the annual Burning Man event. "It just amazes me as to how much the Reno Burning Man Community has come together over the last couple of years to be able to put on events of this magnitude."

Yuri’s Night is not just a Reno event. Yuri’s Night events and parties are held across the country and around the world, commemorating Russian Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin and his April 12, 1961, first manned space flight. Last year there were over 90 events or parties held in over 30 countries worldwide, with NASA hosting their own events. We of the Shiva Vista Project would like to apologize for the last-minuteness of this venue change, and apologize for any inconvenience caused by this (but you KNOW you were blocking out the entire night anyway!!!) We would also like to extend our thanks to the very Burner-friendly Underground for allowing us this opportunity at such a late date!

So, without further ado…

 PLEASE join us in support of Reno’s LARGEST and MOST EXPLOSIVE Playa project at the Underground on 2/2/08, beginning at 9pm! This is the FIRST  Reno Burner event of 2008 – let’s kick it off RIGHT!

Entertainment and participation opportunities will include TWO rooms (one down-tempo/’chill’ room, the other upbeat/dance atmosphere) with TEN DJs including The Rhino, GT, C², Jacie, D6, Auditory Canvas, Ryan Howard, Allen King, d.o.a., and Zach.

Appearances by the Mantis!  She’ll eat your head! Interactive visual screens by Robotronia, with the NEW Munz Interactive Poi Screen (MAPS) – bring your glow poi and pARTicipate!

Hookah Lounge by ArtDogs for your sensual smoking pleasure.

Two of the four Fire Talons by Cowboy/Justin Cunningham and Dave King, shooting flames to warm our tutu’ed selves outside!

BohoCrush/ Crush Dolls will be present, along with Reno’s Bohemian Burlesque troupe, Dragonfly Aerials, Stilters and Fire Performers. Pole Dancing performances by Brenda of BodiesByBrenda. Come get your pole on and show us your skills!

For those who buy  raffle tickets at the door ($10 each, no limit!), there will be a drawing at midnight for  2 Burningman 2008 Tickets!!!
